New Year, New Hope ...

A very Happy New Year to all our customers and friends, and a huge thank you to everyone who has continued to support us throughout the last, very difficult, year. We couldn't keep this business going without all of you, and we hope we've managed to provide you with yarns and designs that have helped you to craft your way through the long days of lockdown, wherever in the world you live.  Many studies have shown that producing things with your hands is a good way of combating stress, which is as good an excuse as any I can think of for maybe adding to our stashes just a little!!

As England has just gone into full lockdown again until at least mid-February, this situation seems likely to continue for some time yet.

Sadly, the yarn shows we rely on for much of our business are unlikely to start running for some months, if at all this year, until more of the UK population has been vaccinated. We very much miss meeting up with our customers at such events - but in the meantime we continue to add new yarns and colourways to the website, as well as  producing new designs for you to consider.

We published two new designs in 2020 - the Ulyana Shawl and the Veronica Cardigan.  Although we've sold plenty of kits for both designs, we've yet to see many finished projects on Ravelry, so if you do use that platform we'd be very grateful if you could post your progress, whether or not you use our yarns.  The latest design - a Fair Isle sweater with or without sleeves called Celtic Wynter - has just joined them, with yarn packs to follow shortly.  We look forward to seeing what you make with the design.

Even if you don't use Ravelry, we have a group on Facebook where you're very welcome to share your projects, as well as ask questions.  You can also complete the Feedback/Comments Form on this website, or email us directly at [email protected].

For the next few months there are further designs planned, one of which will be a Shetland lace stole/scarf, and we'll make this one a mystery knitalong, so look out for details of that, hopefully during the late spring/early summer.  Do sign up to our monthly email newsletter if you don't already see it.
