This hat, knitted in traditional Fair Isle designs, is an ideal introduction to two-colour knitting and working in the round, and is suitable for those with a little experience. The colour pattern is worked from a chart. Fits an average head, approx 56cm (22 inches) in diameter.
The hat can be knitted in 2 x 20g/80m mini-skeins of our handpainted 100% British Blue Faced Leicester wool 4-ply yarn, which is soft and lustrous (kits are available here). Alternatively it can be made in any of our standard 4-ply yarns. It's a great way of using small quantities of yarn - particularly a variegated one which can give the effect of much more complicated design than is actually the case!
