Donna Cowl Kit - Falkland Cormo Wool Lace (COL)
A cosy cowl, knitted in the round, using a selection of traditional Shetland lace patterns with a pretty edging that can be blocked into soft or more dramatic points. (The pattern also includes instructions for a 4-ply version.)
This kit includes the printed pattern and a 50g (400m) skein of 100% Falklands Cormo Wool Lace yarn, sufficient to make the laceweight version of the cowl as written. (The pattern also includes instructions for a 4-ply version.)
There are pattern stitches on the majority of rows but, as it only uses basic lace stitches and is worked in the round, and therefore with the knit side facing, it is suitable for knitters with some experience of lace, or intermediate knitters. The pattern can easily be adapted to make a larger circumference cowl if required.
The cowl can be worked on a circular needle or with double-pointed needles (3.00mm and 4.00mm were used for the sample). The pattern is both charted and written in full.
