I designed these fingerless mitts specifically for my North Ronaldsay Heavy Lace yarn - one of the rare breed yarns I've managed to source. (They could also be made using a fine 4-ply or another slightly thicker than standard lace yarn.)

The mitts feature a lace panel on the back of the hand, and are designed to make a set with the matching Autumn Equinox Hat pattern - available separately. This is a fairly simple knit, ideal for those with just a little experience of knitting in the round. Made using a set of 4 dpns, it can also be made on circular needles using the magic loop method.
Designed to fit an average female hand, the mitts can be made a little larger or smaller by changing the needle size.
You can make both the mitts and the matching hat from around 70g of yarn.
The pattern uses basic stitches, and is both charted and fully written.
