Digital Downloads
Current legislation makes it necessary for us to charge VAT on any purchase of digital downloads by customers based in the EU or Australia, at the rate applicable in the customer's country/location rather than in the UK. Our web hosting service does not currently enable us to apply multiple rates of VAT to purchases to comply with this legislation. Pattern purchases from our webshop can therefore only be supplied as printed copies by post, or individually emailed pdf versions. NB: No refunds or exchanges are available for patterns, either printed copies or pdfs, once they have been despatched/emailed.
Whilst we will email pdf patterns as promptly as possible during office hours, there may be delays when we are out of the office, so if you require your copy urgently we would recommend using Ravelry for purchases. Instant digital downloads of all our designs are available there, where VAT will be charged to customers at the appropriate rate. (Ravelry is free to join and a great resource for knitting and crochet. You can also view examples of our designs created by Julie and by other members of the site.) This does also have the advantage of keeping a copy in your online Ravelry library, which you can access at any time, and where it will be updated automatically if a new version is issued.
If you purchase a printed or pdf pattern via this website and you are also a member of www.ravelry.com, we can place a copy in your Ravelry library if required after purchase - please add your Ravelry username to the notes section at checkout.
